Based in Philadelphia, Copper Monks explores a wide range of styles from psychedelia to traditional rock. Through classic songwriting and compelling guitar work, the band creates music that is both organic and authentic.
Richard Douglass (vocals, guitar, and mandolin). Richard has won several awards including Best Performing Artist in Georgia, and has placed on the College Music Journal charts. He has also opened for major acts such as Bo Diddley, Dr. John, and 10,000 Maniacs.
Alfred Goodrich (bass, cello, keyboards, and vocals). Alfred has performed for two Grammy showcases and has opened for Rufus Wainwright, Bruce Hornsby, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Marc Cohn, They Might Be Giants, and Suzanne Vega.
Chuck Treece (drums). Chuck started the 1980's skate punk band McRad, remixed songs for Amy Grant and Sting, and played the bass line on “The River of Dreams” by Billy Joel.
John Paul Miller (keyboards and bass). John is a multi-instrumental arranger and composer.
